The Royer House

We are pleased to introduce The Royer House, a stunning location in Westminster, Maryland, where a historic homestead, overlooking idyllic countryside, is available for your wedding, reception, or other memorable event. Although just a short drive from Washington, DC or Baltimore, MD, the long driveway leading to the property, flanked by stately sugar maples, brings you to a feeling of a different time and place. The stone and brick farm home/gathering house was built in 1827 for the newlywed Christian Royer by his father Peter Royer. Completely renovated in the 1980’s, the interior of the Royer House is anything but aged. Boasting modern amenities, fixtures and features, it retains its charm with period chosen hardware and antiques, and original wide plank pine flooring that stretches throughout the house.

The Royer House is an outdoor, tented facility incorporating the use of the spacious grounds and ceremony sites by the pond or in front of the historical estate. Invite your guests to stroll along the property for its unique view of the countryside or simply enjoy the gentler pace of this elegant country farm house. The distinct architecture of the house, the natural beauty of the landscape and our attentive staff will provide a unique and inviting backdrop to make your event special. Simply let us know your needs, and we will make it happen!
